Customer photo review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

I am giving the plates 4 stars. I am not dissatisfied with the weights but wanted to call out a couple of issues I have noticed after the first month. All the weights are functional, and I understood I was purchasing an economy bumper plate. I ordered 465lb of bumper plates: 8 slim x 45lb, 4 x 10lb, 2 x 25lb, 2 x 5lb, 2 x 2.5lb. The finish on all the plates is far from perfect. The bevel on the edges (especially the 10lb) is very inconsistent. The plates look distinctly different because of this. The color fleck in each plate is also pretty variable. Some of the plates have a very rough unfinished look at the edge; others have areas that did not get beveled at all. See the attached photos. The slim 45s are very nice but still have some less-than-perfect finish. The bevel width again is a little variable, but it's much less noticeable than on the 10s. There is some visible cupping/warping on the 10lb plates and 2.5lb change plates. The 2.5lb change plates have a very slightly narrower collar than the other plates. This is not an issue on the Rogue barbell, but it's a minor inconvenience on a mace that also has a standard-diameter handle. The 5lb change plate fits no problem, but the 2.5lb do not. I have other smaller-increment change plates from another brand that also fit without issue. That, to me, confirms it's the 2.5lb plate collar issue. I have a photo of this as well with the 2.5lb sitting on top of the handle with a 5lb properly seated. Overall, the weights work as intended. I can drop them on heavy lifts, and they hold up well. So far, the durability has been great. I am very satisfied with the value but wanted to call out the minor visual imperfections for others spending a lot of time shopping for weights as I did.

Customer video review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

Squatting and deadlifting, great. Loading the linear hacksquat, even better. But!... You're going to notice that the cuts on them where they shaved off the excess from the mold are very ragged and uneven. You'll also notice that several bumpers from your order will sit crooked on the sleeve. They say it doesn't affect performance, but the physics of it would suggest otherwise, however mild. Sure, they aren't calibrated...but that shouldn't be the standard of whether or not a sleeve fits in straight. Otherwise I love them!

A little dirty when it got here but all the loose crumbs wipe off, really slightly quality plates for the price, will probably be the only 45 bumpers I buy from now on

Customer video review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

The skinnier plates allow me to load more weight on my machines. With the OGs (the originals) I could take it to like 405 on deadlifts and like 135 on the machines. This is a significant improvement and I’m happy with my purchase. I may order more and just use the thicker plates I have for like cleans or more aggressive lifts that allow me to just drop the weight.

Customer photo review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

Bought 10 of the hyper thin 45s. I can fit all of them onto my barbell and probably another one on each side and my lifting collar, so they are very nice. Saves a lot of room. Also appreciate the quality, I see people on here mentioning they feel the mold doesn’t come out well, but I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the weights. For the price these are a steal, and everything shipped quickly. If you’re looking for a good deal on some quality rubber weights, you found it.

Customer photo review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

These things are indeed HYPER thin. In my pictures you'll see that the homegrown 45 lb plates are practically the same thickness as typical 25lb bumpers and a 45 lb and a 10lb bumper plate (also from homegrown) take up LESS space on the bar than a typical 45lb chunker. Beyond the thinness, these plates are well put together and overall present UNBEATABLE value

These are my second set of slim 45lb plates from Homegrown Lifting. I started buying from Homegrown for the prices, I stayed for the excellent quality of their products. These slim guys are a game changer. They’re accurately weighted, well designed, and high-quality. I’m steadily growing my collection of plates that is now overwhelmingly Homegrown Lifting.

Love these plates so far. Used them for all 3 main lifts plus rows without any issues. Leaves much more room on the bar to load weight compared to traditional bumpers. Will be back for more!

Love these plates! I don’t have a lot of storage space in my garage so these are perfect. I’ve never liked number plates because of the size. But I can easily load a bar with these! Will definitely be buying more to complete my home gym

Great plates, glad I went with the hyper thin. 3 plates take up the same space as 2 standard bumpers. If you want your deadlift to grow first thing is you need the space on the bar.

Customer photo review of 🌟NEW PRODUCT🌟 Hyper-Thin 45lb Pairs

These plates are phenomenal. The problem with rubber/urethane plates is that the are so thick that getting more than two 45’s on a machine is impossible. These ultra thin solve that issue. And now I can deadlift without waking up the neighborhood from weights clanking around!
