I bought the ultimate home gym bundle, I had questions from the start of are they legit to can I sub out certain pieces of equipment for other pieces, well after 1 email I knew HGL was a legit place and a solid company. Making sure I was completely happy, HGL set up a phone call and I knew then I was done looking for gym equipment. They have the absolute best customer service I’ve ever seen. Shipping was very quick and everything came in perfect. HGL you all are a step above anyone both on a personal level and professional. Pricing is great compared to other companies as well. Duke (my puppy) loves HGL as well, so that should say all we need to know!
The one thing I didn’t cover in the video is specific to my set up but I have a 12inch loading pin and the sizing of the plates allow me to fit a good amount of weight on it
Just got my new URA-MAX Colored Bumper Plates. Why didn't I purchase these sooner?! Awesome plates at a great price. Such a good upgrade to my garage gym. So stoked! I highly recommend these plates. Looking forward to completing the set with a pair of 35s and 15s. The hyper-thin 45s are incredible.
They are very well made. I thought they would be made out of fiberglass or some light materials. These are tougher than I thought they would be. Im glad I bought them and it was a very good deal to me.
This is my second order of factory seconds, and this was the only defect. One small gouge on the face of the plate. Plates are perfect otherwise and the weight is accurate. I love the more compact size of the "hyper thin" plates. They are actually thinner than 25lb plates I ordered previously.
This is my second set of bumpers from homegrown. Absolutely happy with my first order but these had some issues. The rubber on the edges of the 10 lb plates is super rough and uneven. I don’t think it impacts performance but it doesn’t look good and was disappointing.
Good plates, great price point. One plate did have a factory defect, like a chunk was missing out of it and it was filled back in with glue. I peeled the glue off so now there is a just a gouge in it. Still good plates.
Plates are fine, I see nothing wrong with them being factory seconds. The only confusing part for me was these are Hi Temp plates. Does Hi Temp make homegrown plates? Or did they buy a lot of Hi Temps to sell second hand? I don’t know, but not disappointed- Hi Temps are fine plates.
Great value and the whole experience was easy. Mine arrived in just a few days, packaged perfectly to protect from any issues during shipping. I thought there would be some “gas off” time where there was an odor but there wasn’t. Quality weights, that look good, and a reasonable price! Couldn’t be happier.

Overall happy with the bumper plates I received. Would have given 5 stars but one of the 45lb bumpers has two protruding bumps as can seen in the picture.
Love the wall rack. It was just what we needed in our garage to properly store our plates.
The mount comes with expansion screws, however, I chose to use lag screws instead with appropriate teeth depth to support much more than the maximum weight of the wall rack (large factor of safety). Additionally, I noticed that the mounting holes are 4 inches apart, which is wider than a standard stud (they ended up being on either side of the stud) so I ended up securing it against a 4x6 screwed into the stud.
I rarely ever leave reviews, but I was so impressed with this product that I felt like I had to. It completely exceeded my expectations. The quality is great, installation was incredibly easy, and it cost about half as much as comparable products from competitors. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and would absolutely recommend it.🔥

Plates are legit. Can’t believe they are only 1 dollar a pound. I was going to go with the used market but most people online are selling their bumper plates for even more per pound which is crazy for used gear. Found lots of people talking highly about home grown on Reddit and figured I’d give it a shot when I saw the price. I’ve gotten two lifts in already and they been solid. I can’t wait to deadlift. Also they barely smell and I’ve always heard of bumper plates degassing. These don't smell unless you are right next to them and it’s just the typical rubber smell not super strong. I can only image the smell will be non existent soon. If they keep working well for me I’ll be buying some more in a few months and maybe some other gear!
