Good plates, good price point. Not the prettiest, but not really concerned with that.

Good plates, great price point. One plate did have a factory defect, like a chunk was missing out of it and it was filled back in with glue. I peeled the glue off so now there is a just a gouge in it. Still good plates.
Plates are fine, I see nothing wrong with them being factory seconds. The only confusing part for me was these are Hi Temp plates. Does Hi Temp make homegrown plates? Or did they buy a lot of Hi Temps to sell second hand? I don’t know, but not disappointed- Hi Temps are fine plates.

Great value and the whole experience was easy. Mine arrived in just a few days, packaged perfectly to protect from any issues during shipping. I thought there would be some “gas off” time where there was an odor but there wasn’t. Quality weights, that look good, and a reasonable price! Couldn’t be happier.

Overall happy with the bumper plates I received. Would have given 5 stars but one of the 45lb bumpers has two protruding bumps as can seen in the picture.

Fantastic condition and build
Love the wall rack. It was just what we needed in our garage to properly store our plates. The mount comes with expansion screws, however, I chose to use lag screws instead with appropriate teeth depth to support much more than the maximum weight of the wall rack (large factor of safety). Additionally, I noticed that the mounting holes are 4 inches apart, which is wider than a standard stud (they ended up being on either side of the stud) so I ended up securing it against a 4x6 screwed into the stud.
I rarely ever leave reviews, but I was so impressed with this product that I felt like I had to. It completely exceeded my expectations. The quality is great, installation was incredibly easy, and it cost about half as much as comparable products from competitors. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and would absolutely recommend it.🔥

Hard to see in photos but little wear on the sides. Little pieces of rubber fall off every time I lift. But I knew what I signed up for.
Got them out of the box to workout. Loved the weights until I looked at the 10 pounders and saw they came beat up

Plates are legit. Can’t believe they are only 1 dollar a pound. I was going to go with the used market but most people online are selling their bumper plates for even more per pound which is crazy for used gear. Found lots of people talking highly about home grown on Reddit and figured I’d give it a shot when I saw the price. I’ve gotten two lifts in already and they been solid. I can’t wait to deadlift. Also they barely smell and I’ve always heard of bumper plates degassing. These don't smell unless you are right next to them and it’s just the typical rubber smell not super strong. I can only image the smell will be non existent soon. If they keep working well for me I’ll be buying some more in a few months and maybe some other gear!

We love these plates! And we really love that they’re made in the USA. They shipped quickly and arrived as predicted. The only minor imperfection we can see is 4 small raised areas on each plate, likely leftover from the manufacturing process. Those are only on one side of each plate and don’t affect the functionality, just take away a little bit from the visual appeal factor. Overall, we’re really happy with this equipment!
Durometer of rubber is great, but still a lot of crumb dust comes off and there’s quite a few bubbles where the plate is malformed.

Fast shipping, good packaging, the plates are exactly as advertised. I love that I spent my money with a Kentucky based small company instead of anonymous overseas online shippers. With the $1/lb sale, it was the same price for the Homegrown Lifting plates!
I am giving the plates 4 stars. I am not dissatisfied with the weights but wanted to call out a couple of issues I have noticed after the first month. All the weights are functional, and I understood I was purchasing an economy bumper plate. I ordered 465lb of bumper plates: 8 slim x 45lb, 4 x 10lb, 2 x 25lb, 2 x 5lb, 2 x 2.5lb. The finish on all the plates is far from perfect. The bevel on the edges (especially the 10lb) is very inconsistent. The plates look distinctly different because of this. The color fleck in each plate is also pretty variable. Some of the plates have a very rough unfinished look at the edge; others have areas that did not get beveled at all. See the attached photos. The slim 45s are very nice but still have some less-than-perfect finish. The bevel width again is a little variable, but it's much less noticeable than on the 10s. There is some visible cupping/warping on the 10lb plates and 2.5lb change plates. The 2.5lb change plates have a very slightly narrower collar than the other plates. This is not an issue on the Rogue barbell, but it's a minor inconvenience on a mace that also has a standard-diameter handle. The 5lb change plate fits no problem, but the 2.5lb do not. I have other smaller-increment change plates from another brand that also fit without issue. That, to me, confirms it's the 2.5lb plate collar issue. I have a photo of this as well with the 2.5lb sitting on top of the handle with a 5lb properly seated. Overall, the weights work as intended. I can drop them on heavy lifts, and they hold up well. So far, the durability has been great. I am very satisfied with the value but wanted to call out the minor visual imperfections for others spending a lot of time shopping for weights as I did.
